ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
FLEET MAINTENANCE
- Perform sanding, priming, and painting to address rust, sun-faded areas, and scratches on metal surfaces
- Inspect and maintain tires, including:
- Checking for wear and proper pressure
- Rotating tires as needed
- Replace seat bottoms and seat backs as needed
- Remove and replace minor mechanical and cosmetic parts
- Conduct bike rental repairs and maintenance to ensure safe operation
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
- Execute daily inspection checklists to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of each cart, including:
- Tire inflation and rotation checks
- Test drives for brake performance and steering alignment
- Frame inspections
- Lights and electrical checks
- Body damage assessments
- Verification of PACE system functionality and accuracy
- Mitigate and repair rust, including prep and repainting
- Maintain structured maintenance schedules for each cart (assigned by calendar day/week)
INVENTORY & RECORD KEEPING
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of high-wear items (tires, seat components, etc.)
- Keep detailed service records for each individual golf cart
- Track maintenance history, repairs, and inspection outcomes
COMMUNICATION & ESCALATION
- Report directly to the Golf Cart Rental Manager
- Identify and report equipment failures or advanced repair needs
- Escalate complex repairs to on-site lead technicians prior to engaging outside vendors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in mechanical repair, small engine repair, or fleet maintenance preferred
- Experience with golf carts, bicycles, or similar equipment strongly preferred
- Ability to perform basic bodywork (sanding, painting, refinishing)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to maintain organized records and inventory
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage workload
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working with tools, equipment, and mechanical components
