POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Director of Housekeeping at South Seas, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Reporting to the Director of Rooms, you will oversee all aspects of the Housekeeping Department, supervise staff, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Your leadership will be crucial in the ongoing redevelopment of our resort
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not limited to)
Lead and Inspire: You will lead and manage the housekeeping and laundry team, training and motivating staff to excel in their roles.
Maintain Excellence: You will ensure high cleanliness standards across all guest rooms and public areas, performing regular inspections to meet our quality expectations.
Control Costs: You will manage payroll costs and operational expenses, including inventory and supplies, to maintain budgetary goals.
Guest Satisfaction: You will address guest inquiries and issues efficiently and professionally, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.
Safety Compliance: You will enforce safety and compliance standards, including BBP, OSHA, and Hazcomm 2012, to maintain a safe environment for both guests and staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; a higher-level degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years in housekeeping management and hotel housekeeping, with at least 2 years of cleaning experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license (a motor vehicle background check will be completed).
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook programs, with the ability to operate or learn to operate HotSOS maintenance program.

- Being able to work as a team is critical and available to work independently is essential as well.
WORKING CONDITIONS - PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires you to be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks.
Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighting up to 100 lbs.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able work in different types of weather sometimes extreme, including high temperatures and humidity.
HOURS REQUIRED flexible schedule, will be required to work weekends and/or holidays.
