POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic in-house Talent Acquisition Manager to join our Human Resources team at South Seas. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for talent, a passion for hospitality, and a deep understanding of the luxury service industry. They will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring top-tier talent to provide exceptional service to our guests and maintain the high standards of our resort. The ideal candidate is a data-driven person with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building high-performance teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with department leaders to forecast hiring needs, develop job descriptions, and ensure compensation rates are market competitive.
- Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to meet hiring goals across departments.
- Build and maintain a strong employer brand through social media, events, and partnerships.
- Source, attract, and engage diverse and qualified candidates through multiple channels.
- Organize and facilitate hiring events
- Build strategy to increase local hiring through vocational, trade school, and early career programs.
- Train managers on Applicant Tracking System.
- Train effective interviewing skills for managers.
- Assist with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screen applications and select qualified candidates to share with hiring managers.
- Schedule interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Manage full cycle recruiting processes, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Provide regular updates to department leaders, hiring managers and HR team.
- Manages the H2B and J1 labor pool programs.
- Oversee the use and optimization of applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Use recruiting metrics and data analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal hiring policies.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for critical roles.
- Collaborates with Marketing team to optimize our Careers page.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- This is not a remote position and will require working out of our home office full-time.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, psychology or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in-house (non-agency) talent acquisition.
- Proven track record of high-volume recruiting preferably in hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques and recruitment platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS systems).
- Flexible schedule: days and times may vary based on needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using recruitment metrics and KPIs.
- Bi-lingual a plus
- Formal project management skills/experience preferred (Monday.com, Zoho, Confluence etc.)
