Position Overview:
At South Seas, we create unforgettable experiences for our guests, from sunrise strolls on white-sand beaches to curated retail moments that reflect the elegance and charm of Captiva Island. As a Retail Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering elevated guest service while leading our retail team with a focus on excellence, personalized engagement, and seamless operations. This position supports the Director of Retail in the daily management of our boutique outlets, ensuring they are as welcoming and refined as the resort itself.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example in delivering world-class service, embodying the warmth and sophistication of the South Seas brand.
- Supervise daily retail operations, ensuring a polished guest experience.
- Coach and support retail associates through hands-on leadership, consistent feedback, and ongoing training.
- Assist with onboarding new team members, fostering a welcoming and professional work environment.
- Maintain impeccable visual merchandising standards aligned with South Seas’ upscale aesthetic.
- Oversee inventory control, including receiving, restocking, and conducting regular cycle counts.
- Monitor sales trends and contribute ideas to enhance product assortment and guest engagement.
- Prepare and adjust associate schedules to meet operational needs and optimize labor efficiency.
- Cross training with other retail managers so you can step in when needed at another retail location
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, discretion, and timely resolution.
- Uphold all resort policies, including loss prevention, safety, and brand compliance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of retail experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a refined sense of hospitality.
- Detail-oriented with an eye for presentation and product curation.
- Proficient in POS systems and retail inventory software.
- The ability to multitask and remain poised in a luxury, fast-paced resort setting.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business demands.
